Charlotte Tilbury Spotlight Hollywood Beauty Highlighter Wand

For the longest time I was really hesitant on purchasing the Hollywood Beauty Highlighter Wand. I mean, I have too many highlighters as it is and this bad boy is expensive. I thought, do I really need this? And why yes, I did. I have become such a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury Cosmetics. I think she just creates the most beautiful products.

The Highlighter Wand in Spotlight contains 0.40oz and retails for $50 (CAN). It is formulated without Parabens and Sulfates. Charlotte Tilbury products are cruelty free. Spotlight is a light champagne/ rose gold colour that gives a glossy/wet type of highlight. For more information on this product and where I purchased it, please go to Sephora.

The really interesting feature of this highlighter is the sponge applicator. I have never seen that and I don’t own any highlighters with that type of application method. I like to press the sponge applicator on the tops of my cheekbones and cupid’s bow and then blend out the product using my finger so the skin absorbs it.

The most important thing to remember is for the highlighter to saturate the sponge, the wand has to be twisted so the arrow is pointing on the word “ON”. Once the sponge is saturated with the highlighter, the wand has to be twisted so the arrow is pointing on the word “OFF”. If this isn’t done, you will have highlighter all over your makeup bag. And we don’t want to waste this beautiful highlight!

Swatch of Spotlight

I am really loving this highlighter and I haven’t stopped using it since I purchased it in the beginning of December. This highlighter is really easy to use because the texture is light, creamy and blends out easily. A little goes a long way to create an impactful glow! This is a big statement to make but I think this is my favourite highlight I have ever used… Sorry Moonstone (I still love you).

If you have any questions, please leave a comment!

Love,

Alisa
