August 2018 Favourites

Finally I am back with a post! I apologize for my absence! I moved at the end of August so a large portion of my time was focused on packing and preparing for that move. Now that I have moved, the craziness hasn’t stopped and there are boxes everywhere. I thought I would take a break from all the chaos and talk about all the goodies I have been loving for the hot month of August!

These products are in the order of what I would apply first. They are my most used items of August. I’ve talked about a lot of these before so I’m not going to go into a lot of detail as to how they work. Just a reminder that all prices are Canadian!

Korres Greek Yoghurt Foam Cleanser $30

I have been using this cleanser for 3 months now and I’m really enjoying it! It’s a very moisturizing and light cleanser. It has a really soft and natural scent. This is perfect for dry and/or sensitive skin! The cleanser is very nurturing and gentle to my skin and I do not get any redness or reactions from using it.

Tatcha The Silk Canvas Primer $62

I got a sample of this primer in July and to be frank, I didn’t think I would like it. It is a primer created for people who have issues with oil and pores and that’s just not me. However, I was wrong! When my sample was used up, I was sad so I purchased the full size product. This primer is so luxurious and perfecting. All you need is a small amount to cover the whole face. I love that when it’s warmed up with the fingers it becomes almost like a diffused moisturizer (if that even makes sense). It creates a soft and even texture on the skin and all of the cream products that I apply on top sit so beautifully together!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter #2 $50

This is a product that I wasn’t aware I needed. I love that it adds light and glow to the skin. A little goes a long way with this stuff and it blends out effortlessly. On days where I do not have a lot of time for makeup, I will apply this to the tops of my cheekbones for a soft glow, whether that is on bare skin or on top of foundation. It’s easy to use and it does not matter if you are a professional makeup artist or just an everyday human trying to get ready for everyday life!

Hourglass Illume Sheer Colour Trio $75

Oh man. I love this stuff! Hourglass just really does it for me, I feel like they know what I want! This gorgeous palette makes my makeup go a lot faster. The cream is so easy to work with and just gives my skin the most beautiful kiss of colour! I have been using this every single day and my palette is starting to form dents. This is something I will 100% repurchase despite the expensive price tag!

Hourglass Radiant Bronze Light $63

I have been having a love affair with this bronzer for a while now. Seriously though, I have had the Radiant Bronze Light for 3 years and I have not hit pan yet! This bronzer has tiny flecks of shimmer in it so it gives the skin a beautiful bronzy glow. I like to apply this on top of the Illume Sheer Colour Trio bronzer and I love the natural but sun kissed look it gives the skin!

Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow in Aura $38

These glitter eyeshadows are magic! Whatever colour you pick, you can’t go wrong! I only own two of these but my favourite is Aura. The application is easy peasy. It has a very soft formula that just glides on the eyes. Aura makes my eyes look glamourous and the soft pink is so romantic and dreamy! Every time I wear Aura, people always compliment my eyes and ask what it is that I am wearing!

Fenty Beauty Fenty Glow Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer $23

This gloss has been the gloss of the summer for me. I have barely worn any lipstick. The Gloss Bomb is so quick and easy! It looks great on all lips and it has a yummy scent! I love the way this gloss shines and sparkles when the sun hits it!

If you have any questions, please leave a comment!

Love,

Alisa
