I really wanted to create a post featuring this palette because it is one of my favourites. Lime Crime makes one of the most fun and unique looking palettes that I have ever seen! The colour selection is exquisite and the eyeshadows themselves are really easy to work with. The pigmentation is wonderful and all the colours featured in the palette go well together. The colour combinations are endless! Venus II really inspires me to be creative with colour!

This palette contains 16g of product and retails for $49 (CAN). Venus II and all of Lime Crime products are cruelty free and vegan!

As you can see, this palette has been used and is very well loved. My favourite shades in this palette have to be Filter and Mustard! I did a fun look featuring these two eyeshadows on Instagram!

I wanted to create a smokey and colourful eye using Venus II. The eyes would look great with a pair of false lashes but I really wanted the colours to come through so I kept it simple!

Pigeon – This is the colour I started the look with. With a flat synthetic eyeshadow brush, I packed this on the lid.

Mustard – With a fluffy brush, I blended this eyeshadow in the crease until I was happy with the pigmentation. I like to start with a small amount and build on it. It’s always easier to add more eyeshadow or colour, but removing too much is another story.

Nude by Nature Contour Eye Pencil in Black – For some depth and darkness, I applied this pencil in the bottom waterline and top lash line. Grabbing a smudging brush, I blended out the pencil on to the lower lash line.

Boot – Using a pencil brush, I stamped this eyeshadow on the outer corner of the lid and the lower lash line. After I built up the depth, I went in with a fluffy brush to blend out just the edges of the eyeshadow. Boot is what gives the eye a smokey look.

Mustard – Because I went in with other colours, especially the dark Boot, Mustard got kind of lost in the mix. Using a fluffy brush, I blended out Mustard in the lower lash line, which helped further to blend out the edges of Boot. With whatever was left on the brush, I blended out Mustard in the crease too.

Filter – For a pop of colour, I packed Filter in the inner corner with a small detail brush.

Nude By Nature Allure Defining Mascara – This mascara is a very simple lengthening mascara which is perfect if I want the eyeshadows to stand out! I applied a light coat to both my top and bottom lashes.
